Hi, my name is
Genelyn Jaye Aguilar.
Based in Seattle, WA.
My passion for photography has always been driven by an internal desire to document memories, and to live life as a story-teller - for not only my own life but for the lives around me, too.
I thrive the most when I'm outdoors - where rivers, trees and mountains can act as my backdrops or playground.
If I'm not doing photography or working my day job, I'm typically out on a scenic road trip... OR I'm at home writing up a new blog post while cuddling with my orange cat, Sherbert! If I had it my way, I'd also be cuddling up to my kind-hearted fiance, but I'll have to wait 10 months (while he's deployed overseas) before I get to give him all the hugs. Time spent apart will make his homecoming all the sweeter!
I'm a traveling enthusiast, an adrenaline junkie, a Friday-night home-body and an adventure-seeker all wrapped in one. I prioritize my family, and I flourish off the energy of others.
I believe the key to a successful photoshoot is to intentionally get to know my clients. I want to hear all about your kids, fur children, favorite restaurants, etc. - to the point where "clients" develop to meaningful friends. My goal is be more than just a "vendor" that you hire for a day. I hope to be an ally who is excited to celebrate life's many milestones with you. I just happen to be holding a camera while doing so.
If you’re ready to connect, I would love to meet and hear your story! Whether your preference is in-person over a coffee or via the phone, I’m excited to see what stories you would like me to capture and would be honored to do so!
Random Facts About Me:
